ISS represented at the second HIE-ISOLDE Physics Workshop in Göteborg
The second HIE-ISOLDE workshop took place in Göteborg last month where ISS was represented by five talks:
-Maria Vittoria Managlia, Chalmers University of Technology, presented her work on the analysis of the (d,pF) experiment at ISS: “Beyond the barrier – fission studies at ISS”.
-Connor O’Shea, University of Surrey, presented results in his talk: “Constraining the 61Ga(p,γ) stellar reaction rate via 61Zn(d,p) transfer”.
-Sean Freeman, University of Manchester, gave an update on “(d,p) measurements with ISS into the Mg island of inversion”.
-Josh Curry, University of Liverpool, presented his ongoing work on “Dead-layer measurements of the ISS silicon array”.
-Annie Dolan, CERN, gave an overview of recent activities and developments at ISS.
The lively physics discussions were complemented by a memorable social evening, with a dinner cruise through Göteborg’s southern archipelago at sunset.
